My 04 GX navigation has frozen a couple times and each time it was remedied by restarting the truck. Also every so often the nav goes blank and the I agree function comes on, when I accept it goes back to normal. I did buy an updated disc a few months ago and it seems to be a copied disc. Everything works well 98% of the time but today the screen went black and would not accept touch screen commands to accept. I have read about issues with the Nav DVD player itself, but usually has the error that disc cannot be read- mine dosent. It is working fine now but I believe it is only a matter of time before it freezes for good. I'm just wondering if the disc wasn't OEM would that duplicate my issues or if the player/unit is the problem

Likely a flakey disc, when it freezes up again try just turning the key to the crank position, due to the ignition setup in these trucks it won't actually try to crank, but will reset the electronics in the truck, while you're driving. No need to stop the truck and restart with this method.
