Default New here, looking for a GX soon

Hey everyone, I'm actually one of the guys that would never have considered a Lexus, kind of too classy of a vehicle for me, but the Gx has always caught my eye as kind of best of work and play. Anyways I messed up my back really bad at work, sold my f250 king ranch because of the rough ride hurting my back, then I bought an Acura tl...let's just say I should have looked around more before I bought that a couple months ago.

Anyways I'm already familiar with some of the shared parts with the 4runner since my wife has a lifted 04 and I'm searching around for a Gx that's just a great deal I can't pass up. Thanks guys

Mike

Hey Mike, welcome to the forum. Great looking 4Runner, I always loved black trucks - but maintenance is a b1tch...

Do you wheel the T4R, or its purely cosmetic?

It's mostly cosmetic, I hate bull bars and brush guards and our home is out in the country so when we're driving back home the front bumper helps, and need the 4x4 around our land so that's why we have bumpers and small lifts. I absolutely hate black but my wife won't drive anything else so I deal with it. She has actually said no go for the gx so I may be looking at getting a gs for the mpg since we travel a lot. If we end up hitting a deer or coyote...then so be it lol body shop it is. Thanks guys

Mike

No regrets about the GX 470 for me! No major issues after 8 years and 76,000 miles later(knock on wood). I find it to be a comfortable yet smooth ride.
