New, to me, 2004 Lexus GX470! Woohoo!
Hi All,
I just recently traded in my faithful 2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 5-door for a 2004 Lexus GX470 with 93K miles on it. It was a single owner (old couple) and was serviced religiously at one of my local Lexus dealerships. It will be the 3rd Lexus vehicle I've owned and finally decided I needed a truck.
So far, for upgrades, I've purchased the following:
This is a non-NAV/non-ML vehicle and I would like to add BT and/or AUX to plug in my iPhone for music. Other than VAIStech, what other options do I have?
And is there anything else I should be looking to do aftermarket or what are some of the best mods you have done?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Kermee

So far, for upgrades, I've purchased the following:
- Sport Package Tail Lamp and appropriate 'Stealth Chrome' amber lamps.
- Chrome Exhaust Tip
- Chrome Moulding directly under the rear-windshield
- Cargo Net
- Xenon Digital HID Conversion Kits w/Philips Bulbs (4300K)
This is a non-NAV/non-ML vehicle and I would like to add BT and/or AUX to plug in my iPhone for music. Other than VAIStech, what other options do I have?

My Grom adapter works great in my 2004 GX. It adds BT and Iphone -or- Aux inputs. See this link However the nice thing about non-NAV is you can drop in a complete aftermarket head unit, amplifier and speaker system (given the $$)
Does "serviced religiously" mean the timing belt/water pump replacement was already completed?

Thank you!
I know from the CarFax that the 90K mile service was done at the Lexus dealership. I'm going to follow up with the dealership to see if they have the complete service records available for it.
I also searched and found this thread earlier today: Aftermarket Upgrade in Non-Nav GX? and it looks like I'll have to do something similar. That's great news that with the non-NAV, you can drop in a complete aftermarket HU, amp and speakers. I was looking at the new Alpine INE-S920HD and would like to get the stock speakers upgraded. -- (I think I saw in another thread that the stock non-ML speakers are 2 ohms too?)
Was also in the market for a RSES but haven't gotten too far in looking what's out there.
Thanks!

Thank you!
So here's a picture. I said I'd take pictures after I got everything I wanted done on the exterior, but thought I would just throw a quick one up. I haven't done any mods yet; it's completely stock and no accidents. I was actually shocked at the condition of the vehicle, interior, exterior and under the hood.
Cheers,
Kermee

Nice!!!, how are the rims? Common problem is the pitting and corroding wheels

I did finally swap out the rear tail-lamps with the Sports one and the 'stealth' chrome amber bulbs. I absolutely LOVE it.

You can access all service performed at Lexus dealers, but you cannot see the specific details of the work performed. Our GX only had work performed at a Lexus dealer for the first year--then three years of hoping that someone did something, as we have no documentation for those three years.
The original owner of our ES gave all his service receipts to the dealer, who gave them to us--nice!
