Gx470 stalls at highway speed but restarts. Help?
Hi. I have a 2005 GX470 with 96,000 miles. Yesterday, while going on a 500 mile road trip the car stalled suddenly while traveling about 75mph on the interstate. It would start surging and then just stall completely. I pulled over.. Let the car sit for a minute and then it started right back up with no trouble. It did this to me 4 times on the trip about 80-100 miles between issues. The last time it was while accelerating hard up hill. All other electrical functions.. Radio, lights, etc...continued to work fine. I don't recall the cel ever coming on and even if it did it wasnt on when it restarts. It was 100 degrees out.
I'm on vacation so wanted to get it checked put before we head home but curious on thoughts of what it might be? I was thinking clogged fuel filter or MAS but the fact that it restarts right up after stalling makes me ink it might be more of an electrical issue.
Ideas appreciated.

Im thinking a partially cloged cat converter and or its acting at times when it gets hot. thats all i can think of that would do that.
Also I had a car once with almost same symptoms and it was the muffler coming part from the inside and pieces would blow around and block the flow---weird but true.

a disintegrating cat will cause these symptoms intermittently, blocking the flow. It should store a code though, indicating a primary cat failure. Run by an autozone and see if there are any codes stored.
