I just upgraded my 04 tail lights to 08-09 model year. Tell me what y'all think.

Looks nice. Selling the old ones will offset the cost a little so its not that expensive of a mod.

Question: in the original tails does anyone know if the amber is simply a plastic lense within the housing? I have modded tails in the past by seperating the lense and removing the amber without any issues. I have yet to look these tails but if so the cost is just for the black silicone to reseal them and maybe a few hours of ur time.

I just did mine today too, along with new wheels and tires....yall need to get rid of the ugly amber bulbs in the clear turns and get some chrome stealth bulbs. I had a extra set from my Tundra that I bought years ago. It really cleans it up nice and no ugly amber look.

I get them directly from Lexus dealer. Total cost around 415. Cheaper than most online store. You don't have to wait. I called Lexus dealer parts department on Thursday and on Friday, the lights are there to pickup. Fast and simple.

Thanks. That's true if I can sell my old ones for 200, then the cost of the mod is only 215.

No you cant remove the amber, its the color of the plastic. I know what youre talking about though...I removed the amber blinkers from my BMW headlights to give them the clear look.


Thanks. The wheels are 18" x 9" BFD wheels (http://www.fnwheels.com/?page_id=97). The tires are 285/60/18 Nitto terra grapplers. The guys at DT were all complimenting me on the wheels / tires. I even had a lifted F250 with MT tires pull up next to me at a light today, the guy looked over and gave me the .

I have a little bit of rub at full lock but I'll fix that tomorrow.

Where can you get the chrome coated 7440 light bulbs (signal lamps, single filament)? I couldn't find any on the ebay or amazon. They have the 7443 chrome bulbs (dual filaments) but NOT a single 7440. TIA.
