Tow Hitch from Sewell
I am about ready to pull the trigger on a pintle tow hitch from Sewell. Part No. 5190935011KIT
Its the intregal/pintle tow hitch for the 05. I like the factory look. Don't like the look of the frame mounted hitch. I know i won't be able to tow as much as a frame mounted but all i am pulling is a fishing boat and a 4x8 utility trailer. Has anyone bought this part before and how did it perform for you.

Do a search on here and google, I just read like 2-3 post regarding the hitch on this site. I think Im going with the OEM frame mounted hitch. From what Ive read / seen, its not as noticeable as aftermarket frame mounted hitches and obviously more heavy duty than the pintle.

at first i thought mine was oem factory toyota hitch since it was over $1.5k added option on the sale description off the showroom sale leaflet... but it turned out to be a curt frame hitch
did the dealer screwed over the previous owner? i mean curt hitch is not oem factory and the po paid over $1.5k for this as an option... hm

man if i were the po of this truck, i be pissed and run over to that dealer and tell the curt hitch is worth only $150 and they dare charged me over $1.5k for this aftermarket part that's only worth is $150?... at that price point i wouldn't even bother wasting my time installing or deinstalling it...

On my build sheet it said $50 for:
wiring harness
converter
sub-bracket
I dont know how even Lexus can get away with charging $1500 for a hitch OEM or not, you sure something else isnt included in the $1500+ charge? Maybe that included the transmission cooler too? I never looked on mine to see if I have a cooler, I hope it does!! From my Tundra days, Tundras only came with a trans coolers if it came with a tow hitch too.
EDIT: My GX does have a cooler.

You sure its a OEM and not a Curt. LOL
If you want to sell it, Im looking to buy. I was going to order a new one this week from Sewell but if youre seriously selling yours, PM me a price with detailed pics so I can make sure its OEM, you never know.....
