Got 4runner rims tires dont fit
I just got some 18" 4runner rims and some 285 60 18 toyo at tires. The tires are rubing the a arm my question is how are other people using this wheel and tire combo. I have seen pictures on this forum of this combo but no mention of wheel spacers. Are wheel spacers the answer or do I have to go with a 265 65 18 tire. Also where do you get the lexus center caps that work with the 4runner wheels? Thanks for the help I am very excited to get my new to me 03 gx finished.

ROK will be answering that question shortly for you, once he reads it. He is the one with the blacked out chrome and the black GX. He installed wheel spacers with his new rims and tires. He mentions that part number and where to get it.
About a week ago, someone posted on largest tires using 4 runner rims. In that post, I said that there isn't much room, lock to lock, with the stock tires. 265 was about max.

I ran the limited 18s on my 4r with spidertrax wheel adapters with some minor cutting required with even narrower tires. On the gx with my aftermarket 18x8 wheels, I didn't need a spacer as it sits more flush with fenders than stock.
I'd try the wheel adapters from spidertrax and see if that gets u that extra spacing. Ymmv but the enhanced looks will make u one happy camper. A little cutting is fine but u may well not need it as the gx seems to have more room for upsized tires than the 4r.
Keep us posted and gl
