Just joined to learn how to replace a sun visor and ran across this thread. A law firm in S. Florida has filed a class action about this. I had the problem with my RX330. Dealer was great and "donated" the labor but Lexus Corporate wouldn't do likewise on the dash. Not a big fan of class actions but I gave up trying on my own. This is terrible, never have any problem like this on any of my 97LX, 08IS and 08RX. Finger crossed!! Lexus should take care of this defect.

Glad to hear of class action. My dealership was wonderful and did not charge labor. When I contacted Lexus on the dash cost they did not care one bit.
My facts 2003 , 55,000miles, garage keep always, every maintenance done on time. I have also owned 4 other GX's. They did not care and actually a little snippy about it.
I will be contacting law firm today.

I contacted my dealer today and they are replacing my dash.....no charge to me!!

Service manager stated that Lexus is seeking replacement from the manufacturer of the dashes.

What year and model Lexus do you have? Not sure they would do that for me as I have a 2004 GX470 that the dash is cracking on.

My GX started to get cracks in the dashboard. Complained to the dealer, and although they were sympathetic, didn't really do much. But this week, got something in the mail from lexus advising me that they were going to cover these dashboard cracks under an extended warranty. Good work by those owners on this site and others banding together to make a difference. Thanks! And thanks to lexus for stepping up. Maybe I'll reconsider getting another lexus after all!!

got the letter! I do not have the issue of a cracked dash, but its good to see Lexus step and cover the problem. Good til May of 2017

The Lexus dealership here in Colorado Springs says they will replace mine in May when they get the parts. Apparently, this one will take a while.

I just received the letter from Lexus, giving me a free extended warranty and telling me to come in for a warranty replacement of my dash. It has one long crack starting over the GPS screen, going completely over the upraised dashboard and going to the driver door.

Have any of you received this letter and also have large cracks on their dash?

I have also received mine. About 2 weeks ago. Also got one for my wife's 2008 RX350.

My 2006 GX has a hairline crack about 4 inches long near the front center speaker. Will be setting up an appointment soon with dealer.

Will let you know how it goes

brought mine into the L dealer for a dash crack, very minor one on drivers side, but cracked non the less. They gave me a loaner for 3 day's, only to call me back in saying they can't get any parts until May 2015 :/ I am first on the list in North Colorado for a replacement.
