Nice. Replace those running board lights with nice bright white LEDS. Also do the license plate light and the interior ones.
I did these mods on our 2005 4runner Limited, and within a few months we fried the running board light harness and it scared the crap out of me. We had several issues soon after this occurance. Even though it could have been salt that corroded the elec lines and housing, I am still scared to touch anything.
We lost dash lights, cruise, and had several other elec gremlins after this. Don't know if I want to even attempt.
I agree BUT because it is not Original Equipment so not easy to install/maintain especially for people like me who are not that handy..
It's no harder to install LED's in the running board lights than to replace with bulbs from Lexus. If you can do one, you can do the other. If you use quality LED's, you should never have to change them again in the time you own the truck.
POR-15'd my entire frame because, well, I'm a weirdo and a perfectionist.
Nice work! Was this the brush-on or do they offer spray? Top coat to protect from UV? I was thinking of grabbing several cans of rubberized, sound-deadening undercoating to hit the underside

Thanks! It's brush on. I'm not too worried about UV since it doesn't get sunny down there, but I may paint over it with some flat black or semi gloss paint. It's REALLY shiny. It looks like it's soaking wet. It'll probably be fine after I get some dirt on it though, so I'm still on the fence about painting it.

Top coating it is a good idea, but you certainly don't have to. The shiny black finish will eventually turn to a flat black finish from UV radiating off road surfaces.
