I installed the high gloss pillar overlays
Fit is ok I could have done a better job installing and the cut can be better too

It is better than the blotchy, faded pillars. I was trying to get someone to wrap or paint them but they don't even want to bother coming out to do this small job plus it would have costed hundreds

Preciate it! I saw you on t4r's gx section but it seems like a ghost town compared to this site.

It's a no-name brand, so I don't know. The bezel is a contrasting color to the gray leather.

When the installer put it in, they removed/broke the headrest tilt mechanism. I hope I don't get rear-ended. :/

I thought I recognized a few familiar T4R members here lol. What's up guys! Looking to purchase 1st Gen GX as soon as I find the right one. Been floating through the GX forum for informational insight while the search continues.
As far as the 4runner shes out today trailing with a few AZ 4runner Mafia members.
We're waiting on the other 16 runners to caravan out.

Welcome! Lots of 4Runner alumni seem to find their way over to the GX's, mechanically the same, but different/better in other ways. I miss the roll down rear window from my Hilux Surf on a regular basis though, the rear door on the GX is rubbish in comparison.

8sm- Welcome to that dark side! Definitely loving the switch to the GX from a 3rd gen! And ya the only thing I do miss is the rear window and hatch but I've gotten used to the barn door. Good luck with your search!

Hi.. are those 2 black dots aftermarket backup sensors?

They are backup sensors but I thought the GX came from the factory with them. Its a non navigation vehicle....

Does it just beeps or do you have some display? They look aftermarket, also, factory sensors are usually painted, flush, and have 4 instead of 2.

I like the tails too and will upgrade when my tails get more weathered, also what is with the rear wiper I have seen many GX have the rear wiper sitting like that.

Hmm it just beeps, no display or anything like that, thanks for info though, I'll look more into it.

As for the rear wiper, not sure, I was going to ask around here for a solution before taking it apart myself. Maybe someone has found a way to make it sit back in its original position.

I think those are aftermarket back up sensors

Makes sense, it's honestly pretty loud, wish I could get it turned down about 50%

changed the oil and detailed the heck out of it. The black onyx glows.

You could pull it off and reinstall a tooth or two up so it sits flat when at rest, but if it's anything like mine it's REALLY on there, and using a puller I was very concerned about breaking the rear window. Ended up having to cut it off and replaced with new.
