Default Battery problems

Hi, I have a 2007 Lexus GX470 and was wondering if anyone has had problems with their batteries. I bought the car new and have had 5 batteries replaced. My battery died again today and the dealer sent someone to replace it. Now, some of my window controls do not work. I'm not sure why my batteries keep dying and the dealer keeps telling me that there is nothing wrong with my car, but now that my window controls are messing up, I am wondering if there is a bigger issue. Does anybody have any experience with this problem?

I'm no expert, but I would get a second opinion. Something else is going on besides the battery.

A new battery each year for 5 years in a row doesn't sound typical - unless maybe the replacement batteries were very, very low quality? More likely a problem with the voltage regulator. If you take the car to Auto Zone (or similar) they will check the charging system usually for no charge.

The windows not working problem is to be expected after the battery is disconnected - I think there is a procedure in the owners manual to relearn - has to do with raising and lowering each window, in turn, using the switch on each door (not the switches on the drivers door, except for the drivers window). Sunroof also. There are also some threads here that describe this if you try the search feature. I'll check my owners manual tomorrow to see if my memory is correct - my GX is 2004 but should be similar for this

Let us know what you find

I had to disconnect my battery when installing my hids and had the same issue with the windows. You have to roll with windows all the way down and then back up at each contoll. Not with the drivers side control. After that they should work.

And don't forget the sunroof too.
