Squeaky suspension 2005
I just bought this SUV and everything seems to be perfect, however when I get in and out of the truck it squeaks. It seems to be the springs... If I push the truck up or down it does the same thing. Is this normal and or can I fix it?

I just bought my 03 and had a squeak with up/down movement. When I looked under the truck, I found a bent control arm clevis. Control arm rod end was touching and rubbing on one side of the clevis making metal on metal squeak with any small up and down suspension motion even while driving. It was driving me crazy till I looked under.
First I was trying to lubricate the rubber bushings of all control arms but when I saw outside wall of the frame side clevis touching the bushing housing of the arm, I knew right away that this must be the culprit. It took some heavy banging with big chisel and hammer to staighten it up but noise was gone.
I believe some one was lifting the vehicle up at these point and didn't catch the frame but clevis unless the previous owner hit bolder or very high road curb.
Also, dry ball joins can make squeaky suspension noice, had this on my ML320 over speed bumps or while braking when nose of the vehicle moved downwards.
I had coworker lean on fender and bounce and rock the car while I was under the front suspension listening where the noise is comming from. Greased it with needle point grease gun attachment through protective rubber boot and noise was gone in two days. Now, after 3 years of daily usage squeak never reoccurred.
Good luck, Bernard

Nothing more annoying that a squeak! I think I found it. But I'm not sure what it is. It's a bar running front to back, looks like some type of stabilizer bar. Both right and left side. Well I used some Deep Creep and it worked no more squeak. For now. It didn't look like you could grease it so I hope spray lube works in the long run.

Yes, that would be the rear lower control arm that I was talking about. Rubber bushing eyelet on each end, front mounted to the frame under the rear seats and the rear onto axle.
Stabilizer bar runs from side to side.
