Default Considering used GX purchase; help

I'm considering a used GX purchase but my budget only allows for $20-$24K which leaves me with either a 2004 or 2005, likely 70,000 to 90,000 miles. Am I crazy to consider buying a rig with that many miles? What should I be concerned about repair-wise or problems with these vehicles with this many miles/years of age? How long will these rigs go for (years/miles)??
Thanks everyone.

These GX's are solid. You have nothing to worry about. They are still getting broken in at 200k miles. High miles won't do anything to these GX's. Just do regular maintenance and you'll be golden.

These things will go forever, as long as you maintain them.

If you have a Lexus dealer you trust you could have them inspect it and give you a report card - they have a checklist they run on cars they designate as Certified Previously Owned (CPO). They could also give you a list of any recommended repairs or maintenance it needs. That way you'd have a better idea of any issues you night be buying in to, and what it would cost to make them right.

A Toyota dealer or independent shop could do a similar checkout, maybe for less money.

Assuming everything checks out ok - there seem to be a number of examples on this forum of cars with a lot of miles and very little trouble. Of course there are also a few examples of troublesome cars, with a lot less miles. You just need some credible info on the real condition of the car before you buy it, and whether there's any expensive maintenance coming up (for example the 90K mile). I'd rather have a nice used GX than a new econo car, but it's a matter of personal preference - I don't think you're crazy, just shop carefully

Yes, they are nice and solid even with 256K miles on them.
Main check list would be: air suspension - leak problem, wheel bearings, rear driveshaft - clunk problem, door locks.
