Default mirrors stick

We have a 2004 Lexus GX400. Both electronic side-view mirrors stick. In reverse, they stick and often the driver controls work intermittently. The dealer indicated that we needed new motors for each at a cost of ~$900. Anyone had this problem and is there an easier fix? Any help is appreciated.

Ya, it is the servo motor thingy, I got the part for passenger mirror, I think it was $150, did it myself, 15 mins, piece of cake. Part came with directions.

Alan
One of my mirrors just stopped working - please will you write more about the steps you went thru to disassemble & replace the motor? That will help me decide whether to tackle this myself.
THANKS,
Bob
