Act of generosity from a fellow GX owner...
So I was at the stealership today to pick up what I thought were the J hook clips that I ordered for the cargo net. Well come to find out they ordered the wrong part and surprise surprise, if I wanted the clips I would have to buy a new cargo net for $40. As I was standing at the parts counter I got to talking to a guy next to me who was getting his broken key replaced. In any event we were both commenting on how reliable our Lexus cars were and he proceeds to tell me that his Lexus has 191k miles on it and he hasn't had one problem (other than breaking his key).
In any event, this gentlemen over hears my conversation with the parts guy and he proceeds to ask me what kind of Lexus I have and I explain a GX 470. He tells me he has a GX and to my surprise he asked me if I wanted his cargo net since he doesn't use it and wanted to get rid of it. Gratefully I accepted and we chatted for a minute to two not only because he was a nice guy, but also because I was interested in the fact that his GX had 191k miles on it! It looked to be in fantastic shape. He said he has not had any problems with his truck to include transmission and air suspension, which was reasurring to hear.
Anyway, just thought I would share there are still some kind and friendly people out there and shame on me I didn't get his name.

Networking tip - always shake hands and get the person's name. Look them in the eyes when they are introducing themselves. Repeat their name after they say it, and of course, say "[name], nice to meet you." Introduce yourself clearly and be prepared to repeat your name if it is potentially difficult for some to pick up quickly.
Good on that guy for being a generous dude, though!
