Re: 2004 GX470 Rear Interior Roll Up Cargo Shade Cover Needed
I have a 2004 Lexus GX470 and need a beige or tan interior roll up cargo security shade cover. My model is the 8 seater (i took the back 2 seats out) and I know it doesn't have the hooks to hold it...I plan on buying the parts and doing a custom install. Does anybody have one for sale or know where I can get an OEM or custom one made...my local dealer wants $878 for a new one...HELP!!!

Thanks for the quick reply guys...I was already thinking about that option as a last resort...still a little leary about leaving my golf bag and clubs ($2500 value) just lying their, open in the back.

Limo tint will do the job. I had additional tint placed over the factory tint (I think the installer used 35%) and it's hard to see inside the rear cargo area. This option is cheaper than the factory tonneau cover.

4Runner beige tonneau cover:

Since your truck came with 3rd row seating, the interior rear panels are different from non-3rd row GX and do not have cut-out and anchors for the cover to work. You will either have to replace the plastic panels (which can cost you close to $500), or fabricate the anchors and cut-outs in your existing panels.
Either way it's an expensive proposition.
On the positive side, you can sell your 3rd row seats to offset the conversion cost
Or, you can follow Johnny Rad's advice and throw a blanket over your clubs
FWIW, why would you leave you expensive gear in the truck - take them out when you are done playing golf...

I have a black 2004 GS which already has factory tinted windows. I added a dark, nearly limo tint to the middle and back windows. You can't see ANYTHING in the back from the outside. Go with the tint.

What % tint did you have installed? As RioDino indicated, he installed almost limo tint and one can't see inside. Did you install tint on all previously tinted windows (middle and back)? Sounds like you're spending $500 more than you should be.
