Timing Belt Replacement Cost?
#61
Yes, that is it the idler, tensioner, WP, thermostat, drive belt and timing belt the crankshaft seal and cam seals.
The regular timing belt service is pretty much included in 90K which is only timing belt and water pump. Since I went with the premium, they also performed check all other components listed in 90K service.
BTW: Lexus Dealer will price match with any other Lexus Dealers. Reason I want Lexus do this because of the warranty, I just want to make sure they are responsible on their high price work and parts

What you said is all true. I almost decide to DIY, but I did not have impact wrench to remove Crank bolt so I scrap my plan.
They also found radiator leak, cv boot leak, throttle cleaner, and front rotors brake job. Total for another $2500. I told them I will do them myself. Just bought Denso Radiator $200, and two front rotors for $160 from Bell Lexus of Arizona. Plan to replace them tomorrow.

Same popular location, driver side. Pink fluid indication. Leak a lot when I fill up the overflow tank, immediate pink water came out the bottom driver side.
Thanks for recommend ECB blanks, I'll try it next imes.
I did use Raybestos R300 and they are piece of junk. within 1000 miles, warped like crazy. That's why I came back with OEM

Is this all you need? It only shows $166 at Rockauto so based on others seems like it's not everything.

Did you want to do your cam & crank seals and valve cover gaskets too? I would also replace the thermostat when doing the water pump. I would definitely recommend doing the crank seal if you chose not to do the others. You are right there at the crank seal and just need to slip a gear/pulley off the crankshaft. What condition is your drive/serpentine belt in?

Timing belt & spark plugs replacement cost at dealer
My 08 has reached 121K and I am giving it a serious thought to replace the Timing Belt and Water Pump. Also seems to be it is time to replace Spark Plugs as well. I am not handy at all, but i still made a little effort to remove engine cover to check if the previous owner had done it or not... offcourse not thats why they sold it at 100k. Did not found any sticker around the engine bay and other places etc.
Last week i made bunch of calls to Toyota Dealers, Lexus Dealers and Independent shops to get an estimate on the Job. All of them are asking upwards of $1700 dollars. I was able to haggle and get the best price at Lexus Dealership of $995 TB+WP & $265 for Spark Plugs plus tax.
Some times i also think that i drove my T4R 07 from 95k to 172K without even thinking about timing belt. Yes it was never replaced as it was previously owned within the family. I used it pretty rough but nothing happened. I am not sure if I shall keep putting it off or just get it done or sell the car and put all that servicing bill money towards getting a new better SUV.
Any thoughts to this philosophical note of mine would be highly appreciated

Pole Position
Spark plugs are easy - all you need is a torque wrench calibrated in inch-pounds, an extension, and a spark plug socket (they have a rubber insert to grasp the plug). You'll spend less than $250 in parts and tools, and you'll have the tools for next time. A worthwhile investment.

Which one was that? When i used to live there couple of months a go my closest was Lawrence Lexus Stealership and I had the worst experience with their jacked up prices. I remember Lexus of Edison always had great specials going on.

Finally Got it Done
After wasting almost 1 month searching, pricing individual parts and getting quotes from different places including Toyota and Lexus dealers. I found great special at NJ dealer and asked the local CT dealer to match it. First he couldn't believe and when i forwarded him the coupon, he agreed after consulting Service Manager. I dropped the car on Saturday and picked up a Nice 2016 RX350 fully loaded as a loaner for weekend (i don't link crossovers but for this latest RX i am a fan) Drove 375 miles in 2 days....
Following Parts were replaced:
90916-02585 BELT, V-RIBBED
13568-09070 BELT, TIMIMG
16100-59275-83 PUMP ASSY, WATER
96761-35035 RING, O
96761-24019 RING, O
00272-SLLC2 SUPER LONG LIFE COOLANT 3 GALLONS
16604-0F010 PULLEY SUB-ASSY, IDL
16603-0W030 PULLEY SUB-ASSY, IDL
I have listed the Parts as i noticed some these part numbers are slightly different then the OEM kits sold online. So this is the latest I assume.
Total Price for the Job $1017.18 plus Tax (6.35%) Which is the best best i could find in NorthEast.
I feel much better now and my car is not even making squealing and squeaking belt noise when i started it this morning.
*Note* If someone is still looking get that done in tri-state area One of the dealer is still running a special all month long.

I personally have purchased Mizimu (spelling maybe off) Aisins ebay timing belt kits and have had no ill issues. I've used them on several 4Runners, 2jz engines, and 2uz engines. I recently had one installed on my GX at 95K by and independent shop that charged me $550 and that included changing out both of my front axles.
I supplied parts, coolant, and FIPG. I must say was $ well spent and worth every penny.
