Problem red light on Lexus link?
Hi Guys,
I have a question for you. I noticed last night coming home from the hospital that my light over my lexus link was red which I had not noticed prior and called lexus to ask what the problem was.
I got a man who spoke broken English so I don't know if he was understanding what I was saying to him. I told him that I needed to go and would call back in a bit. Low and behold I get the same man again when I called back explained about the light and asked him to please check why I had this.
I thought maybe my CC expired that I had on file but that was not the case. He kept telling me when I question him that I was at a dead zone and when I started to drive it should return to green. I told him I was driving and that the area he was quoting me on I was not even close to that area. I had been there several days earlier but was not there now.
He could not answer me as to why I had this problem and could not tell me if I needed help would the Lexus link work. Will I'm betting if it can't find me on the GPS I would bet it could not find me if I needed them. Not good. Has anyone had this happen to them prior and if so could you tell me what it was? I will call the dealership tomorrow.

Have u by any chance pressed the Ambulance button on Lexus link asking for ER assistance, or could be the key is depressed due to moisture intrusion or The dedicated GPS receiver located on the dashboard and the Cell phone Antenna on the roof are not having the right Sync signals to the ECM and thereby giving the wrong Signal Position to the GPS Satellite. And the result is what you are seeing from the Lexus Call centre.
Solution:- Go to the dealer and get it reset ( I mean the GPS positioning sensor onboard)You cannot do it by yourself. There are certain codes which the dealer would have to input it. Maybe you could try on your own but you have to be away from certain cell towers which have magnetic field which could throw in some dissarray of Position codes.
