Hello Guys,
My wife backed into the garage door and broke the rear spoiler . Should I go to the dealership and get one or get an aftermarket one as I found alot on e bay and relatively cheap. Did anyone replace the oem with aftermarket and would it fit into the already existed holes on the back door.

Some sellers claim that they supply the dealerships with spoilers is that right? bacause if this is true i can buy it from them and no let the dealer charge me triple the price.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

I would go with an OEM as the mounting holes/hardware can be different on aftermarket spoilers.

Thanks man, I emailed Sewell about the spoiler and the bad news was that they don't have my color (blue meridian pearl) and they said Lexus doesn't have it too. I didn't talk to my dealer yet.
The link you posted has a lot of good stuff not to many items for the GX though.

To confirm, the 8R4 Blue color spoiler has been discontinued as well as no dealers have any old stock available. Only the base, primer spoiler is available from Lexus requiring you to have it painted. Howver this primered spoiler is just as expensive as the pre-painted options.

On our closeout list the spoilers are aftermarket - not factory. With the price shown though it might just be worth having it painted to the correct color.

Dear Darrel,
Does the aftermarket spoiler fit exactly in the preexisted holes because as you know I am just replacing the old broken spoiler and not doing any drilling. what is the difference between the factory and the aftermarket spoiler from the quality aspect. and do you have any idea about why this particular color is discontinued I mean even when I searched the touch up bottles on your website this color wasn't among the listing.

Nalex....the aftermarket is good, I had my friend's wife while reversing into the garage having to damage the spoiler's, and purchased a aftermarket one ( GX ) but not from sewell, ( quite long ago, fits perfect, and just been too good. She paid 315/- for the stuff. I think what I have found is only the LED quality in the rear, they are bit larger, but brightness is less, I am sure the SEWELL has got always the best quality even if it is aftermarket.
I guess it is worth the price, and having it painted.

They do have one in stock now,the white one going for 90/- bucks, you could have them repainted to Silver.

Check the link which has been replied by you mentioning the "closeout". These are the 2 colors available at present.
