5K HID Foflight Install--08GX
Started out with Xenon depot 4300K kit for my low beams and loved them so much I went ahead and bought another 4300K H-3 kit for my fog-lights. I also bought some 5K bulbs to compare to see if there were any differences--to my surprise there is not alot of difference in light color between the 2 K-ratings that I can see--further driving in the dark and I may notice a difference?
Ok on to the Install! You can find the HID kit HERE>> http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Xtreme-Dig...-Kits-s/21.htm
First this kit came with the Slim line ballast and they are half the thickness of my other ballast I have for my Lows--
Looking under the front bumper you will see one 10mmm screw--undo that and the light will come out of the front bumper
You will see there are two wires from the hid bulb and the Grey wire that connects to the twist type door--you have to connect the WHITE (hot) wire to the Grey wire in some fashion as you see I soldered them together which I feel is the best way.
You have to cut a slit in the fog-light housing side to channel the wires through so the door will close and seal--just goop it up with some sealant
and your good to go after you have ran the wires--I made a mess...lol
The Wiring part is simple as its all plug and play--connect 2 grounds and 2 wires to the hot side of the battery and BAM you have light--Simple~!
And best of all it works perfect--now I don't have those nasty dingy yellow Fog-lights and they match my Low beams perfect.
So there you go--pretty simple just the extra hookup of the Grey to the White wire and the rest is cake! Don't hesitate to call and work with Steve at Xenon Depot--excellent customer service and if you have any issues he will step up and take care of you!

Great write up Steve! Thanks again for choosing XenonDepot. Glad you like the new slim line ballasts we now use in our Xtreme HID conversion kits. The 5000k HID Kit will provide you with a slightly "cooler" light output than the 4300k HID Kit as the 4300k HID bulbs will have more of a warmer tone to them.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think once you have had some time to try them out.

I finally got to drive in the intense fog and darkness this morning--I can say I really like the additional output the Fogs provide now!! I can now see the differance in the 5K vs the 4300K--I see the light output is a nice say...crisper white light with a very slight hint of blue, Im going to like it! Nothing wrong with the 4300K I had in my Low beams though as they we super bright as well.
Next up is my Putco LED install throughout the interior and a few on the outside as well! writeup will follow

Nothing wrong with the 4300K for sure! I notice a little crisper whiter light with the 5K though--I could have either installed and be ok with it.
