HID Fog Wiring
I have a question on where the wires go.
I have drilled and threaded 4 wires through the cap.
On the inside I now have the new light bulb,
A new black wire
a new white wire
and the old gray wire.
Questions:
1 where do i plug black wire?
2. where do I plug white wire?
3. Where do I plug gray wire
(back into the bulb housing next to the bulb where it was, on one end,
and the other end in the cap where it was originally, or elsewhere?)?

Ok the grey wire needs to connect to the white wire as you can see in my 3rd picture--I soldered mine for a better connection, then just reinstall the grey wire where it came out of, then plug the black and white back into the original spots.

Inside the cap I have the light;
the original short gray wire that was plugged from cap to light housing;
a new white wire; which was never connected to anything before;
a new black wire, never connected before.
If I solder the new white to the old gray -
do I leave one end plugged into the cap, where it was, then plug the other end into the light housing where it was originally, then I just have the white soldered on to the gray looking like an odd Siamese twin?
Then do I plug the new black wire into the cap in the spot where the old bulb was plugged?

Here is inside the light housing too.
I'm assuming I plug the gray wire with the white wire soldered to it onto the stem open on the light housing. Then the other open spot in the cap, where the light bulb was plugged before, is where I guess I plug the new black wire.

Yes sounds correct--the grey wire goes back in the spot it came out of with the white wire attached. then plug the black wire in the Only other spot there is a connection for

Thanks for the help.
The white wire to gray wire worked like a charm.
Here's a pic of my light housing and cap mod.
I drilled the cap with a 5/8 bit then trimmed away the grommet in the kit removing about 60% of its diameter, then I squeezed wires and grommet into hole just like it was made for it all.
Very neat install as you can see.
The lights are 3000K.
I wanted yellow because yellow light adds definition.
Very good light projection about 2 1/2-3x factory deep and wide;
and can see easily in regular dark
and big improvement in rain. Minimal refection off water. Nice improvement well worth the cost and efforts.
