Booyah,

Here's the thread you want on the FL HID installation:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...g-install.html

The gray wire connected to the door will connect to one of the two wires as Mannn777 indicated. You'lll have to make a hole (use existing hole where that vent hole is (lower right side). Ill post some additional pictures that provide additional details.

Test the wire to determine which goes where. You'll find that the connection on the door without external wire does not take the HID, because the HID wire is too wide. Once you determine which wire, you'll need to "trim" the wire connector on the HID to fit into the slot on the door that doesn't have a wire extension.

Insert HID bulb into foglight housing, run HID wiring through channel cuts, close main door

Booyah,

Were you able to configure you foglights as "always on"?

Can I splice the wires if I want to avoid cutting the housing?

You could but I would go against splicing the wires--cutting the housing is smooth and simple and works like a charm.

Best option is to cut channel for extra wiring. Seal with silicone once everything is working correctly.

I just can't see this as a good solution.

I am no expert but if the vent holes are plugged, that is going to build up heat in that small housing and.or it may prevent moisture from being vented out...consequently, you may have condensation on the bulb or housing...the HID will most likely have a premature failure rate...as is evidenced by several people who have had higher frequency of failures with fog hid lights.

Update:

Some people have tried solving this by putting some Silica/desiccant/drying agent in the housing before sealing or drying it out in an oven before sealing.
