Default 2006 GX 470 w/ 70k miles

I'm new to the Forum & to Lexus. I would appreciate advice on a 2006 GX I am looking with 70,000 miles on it. Priced at $27,000 from private seller with 100k mile warranty. Am I taking a chance with the high mileage? The GX looks to be in great condition, but I just don't know if I am going to have to spend $$$ in repairs and maintenance.
Thanks so much for any advice.

I think you can get a 2006 (or 05 - basically the same vehicle), as a CPO, for around that price with 60% to 70% of the mileage on this private sale vehicle. whether in good condition or not - 70K is 70K.

...and with the CPO warranty you will get 3 more years or up to 100K miles of a lexus warranty from date of purchase.

Thanks so much for your help. I haven't seen any for that price with that mileage, however I will expand my search area and see what I come up with.
Thanks again

maybe search cars.com CPO inventory. Search CA and AZ. I think you will find the 06s with <50K miles, in the low 30s and can probably get 10% of the dealer asking price.

of course the 07s have the upgrade next-gen nav system so maybe you can get lucky and find one of those as well.

Ahem...interested? WAY better deal here!

I'm selling my 2005 for VERY cheap as I'm about to trade it in otherwise...

Let me know if interested. It's a CPO car with time left but I'm getting a HS250H instead...

Is a CPO warranty transferable?
According to this is not;
http://www.lexus.com/cpo/overview/cp...omparison.html

Strange other companies CPO can be transfered, after all the warranty is on the car ("hand picked rigorous standards, and all that marketing BS !)

Yes, it looks like non-transferable...(dumb) but oh well. GX is still in perfect shape and needs nothing. I updated that other thread previously but couldn't change the title...

Mine will be traded in if I don't sell her soon. I hate to trade in cars to the stealerships...

You can get a later GX for that price like an 07. Search the non-lexus dealers like BM and Audi, Benz for trade-ins...
I Personally would not buy any car with 70K miles.
Good luck.
