Aux jack in place of cd changer?

My friend just did this in his grand cherokee. Unplugged the changer and added an adapter that let's him plug in his ipod when in cd mode.

You don't need to unplug the CD changer.

You can get a VAIS iPod adapter that plugs into the back of the head unit.
