Nice truck bro, the wheels as far as size doesn t bother me at all. Im not a real fan of the solid chrome 1 piece wheel anymore, I used to have a set of 22s on my GS kinda similar. I also agree that a BBK would look good however it is a truck and not a race car!

The wheels are larger but I don't think that they added a significant amount of weight... it's probably a wash.
I agree with you, but he says he's going to add a supercharger, so that would support the need for bigger brakes, I guess.

Rant: I see more and more GX's getting pimped and I can't help but shake my head and ask why O' why? The GX is an all-terrain vehicle at heart. 22s, 26s are just the stupidest thing to add to this vehicle. Can't help being a d*ck about it, it's just completely vane and retarded. Living up to my screen name, I guess.

Probably 95% of the Lexus GX owners never do real off-roading.

I agree with leaving everything stock. Vane-maybe, but I think retarded is a bit strong and insensitive. Bad choice of words. The best thing about this site is the diverse owners and what they feel make their trucks look better. Maybe I'm showing my age(40) but I think the Lexus designers of the GX470 hit a homerun-AS IS.

I think it looks pretty good. I personally am not a fan of the tail lights, it makes it look like a 4runner to me. If you drop the car about an inch or so (don't know if that's possible with the 26's, due to possible rubbing???) it will look pretty good. I would have put some 24's on it if it were mine and definitely lower it so it doesn't look like a donk.

Depends on the offset of your wheel. You bumped the other big wheel thread. If he was able to run a larger diameter tire (285/40) than you there's no reason you can't run a smaller 275/30 tire...but again it depends on your wheels.

Have the tire shop test fit the tire.

Makes me wonder what it would look like with some more "tasteful" (my opinion only, settle down) wheels and tires on it? Otherwise it was a fairly tasteful, very clean truck.

Wow. I think I dig the black roof, but those wheels are something else.

Why the s/c? You building a sport lorry?

Edit: Oops, didn't realize this was from way way way back.

It's more the backspacing/offset that will determine if it will fit or not.

I don't think they are players because I heard players went out of business. I was thinking Asanti can you check for me.
