Mine recently got damaged, early build 2004 gx470. I have seen a perfectly smooth one that I know wont fit over the brackets. But will this smooth one with a hump fit flush over the hardware I have. Please see damaged one (mine)

BTW I am not using any other hardware. I would rather not remove the hardware since it seems to be a good thing to have in case someone rear ends you. It is pretty sturdy and helped saved the bumper from significant damage.

That smooth will fit but it is a different bumper. The smooth one is for the hitches that bolts to the rear cross member and frame rails. It came with the hitch from the factory or optional Pre tow package that had the mount on the rear cross member.

The other picture with the cut out is for the hitches that mounts to the rear cross member only like the Fj's, v6 4Runner, and some v8 too.

the smooth piece in the top pic with the "hump" is a newer part that ismeant to look nicer, it fit no probs...
