Grrr Headlamp
Ok guys, ny head lamp is cloudy , I had it replaced once and after that it is unreal how cloudy and the turn signal light has been replaced twice , no moisture , so now I called CS and they are sending me to have it looked at the Lexus Dealer and see what can be donean cost and my 2004 gx 26000 miles I'm under extended warranty , til august 2009 , any help on why the this is happening ? Lexus not sitting outside in the sun all day , garage kept ,
took to toyota dealer and told me no moisture issue , but would cost $649.00 to replace , no aftermarket part either and I would not wnat a after market part put on ,
got some clues anyone ?
thanks

Most of the cloudiness are external. It will seem internal, what the reality is external oxidation due to fine sand grain burst on the headlamp due to some windy condition and these sand particles cause oxidation and reduces optical clarity . Check out the Meguiar stuff. I used these and now they look brand new.

Some of my cars have the 'clear bra' film on the headlights & some don't - the ones that do have stayed crystal clear while the others have some amount of cloudiness or haze. It might be something to consider if you end up getting yours replaced - wouldn't do anything to help once the haze is there.
