Spare Tire on GX470 Stolen - Cost to Replace ??
Just had the spare tire stolen from under our newly purchased (just 4 weeks ago) but pre-owned 2006 GX470. Discovered the missing tire when the "low tire" light was flashing. I thought we only needed to replace the tire itself, which would be a couple hundred dollars at most, but was told the entire assembly would need to be replaced so we're talking big bucks. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REPLACE THE TIRE ASSEMBLY?

I would say the price of the wheel from Lexus would be more than the spare tire winch.
Look at ebay for a wheel and TPMS, that will save you big bucks.
Sewell is great but I would also check a toyota parts dealer since that winch is the same in the 4runner.

Most of the insurance company have deductible of either $250, $500, or $1000. If your insurance company would not cover the deductible. I would buy used wheel, and tire from ebay, or somebody local. It doesn have to be in perfect condition.
I wonder how they stole spare tire? Cut the cable?

$1300 to replace entire assembly - tire, rim, sensors, etc - including labor. Done at the dealer's so I know we paid more than we could have elsewhere. However, spouse just wanted to resolve the blinking sensor and get a new spare put in quickly on the new, used GX470 so simply had dealer replace the spare.

The alloy wheel cost 413/-$ per pc. The tire, you can pick up from tire rack. Depending on the other 3 tires. the Wheel nut costs 7.20/- for 5 pcs. The Center Cap cost 36.20. I do not know abt the cost of the Sensors, but sure when you buy them, youu have program your ECM to standarize the values.

I would have just bought a used wheel/tire for a fourth of that
