Where can you buy a shop manual for a 2006 GX470. I have the wiring manual but need one for the mechanicals. Is there any place other than the dealer? Or, can you even still get them? Thanks, Al

I should have the number to get the shop manual at home. I'll be back in town this weekend and let you know. Where did you get the wiring manual? Dealer? I think this is the same place the dealer gets it so I don't know if there is a discount or anything. I was quoted around 225 I think back in 07'

I agree with mann777 - techinfo.toyota.com is a great resource. I think they charge $10 per day to access the files and you can download as much as you need.

"Here is the 2006 4RUnner Manual for both V6 and V8 thx to jbs11 (Broc). They seem to have added a lot more info. Anyhow it is 200MB.

It is zipped so extract and preserve the directory structure. All files are in pdf, but you will notice some have a pdf.1 or other number behind. Just setup adobe Reader to read the .1, etc files as well.

You will find some files/subdirectories are in weird places. Just keep looking till you find what you are looking for."


I know that the manual is for the 4Runner, but a lot of it applies to the GX as well.

Dal it works ....it works...just type all the characters until vidpics and search it and it opens the link. and choose as snrph suggested

techinfo.toyota.com is a pain in the ***. For example, the owner's manual is split up into 50 different documents.

Or am I missing something?

Yes, it is split in many files. Not very convenient. You can always buy a hard copy.
