So I spend $259, ruin the fit of both door panels, and wait for the wire to break and short at the hinge......just to look like a Benz? I would mimic the Saab side signal before spending so much time and money.
For all of this aggravation and money, this cover should also have the downward courtesy light.

Is there a puddle lamp?

I hate to say it, but the lens should follow the body line of the mirror housing.
It looks out of level and catches the eye.
I have been against this mod based on quality, price, and aggravation.
Sorry, but seeing the photo of Cap's GX is the final straw...not for me.

However, that's where the lens has to go, because of the interference inside the cover with mounting studs for the motor.
Make sure that the cover is painted on the inside, at least 2 inches from the edge, because it shows when installed. I was lucky because the inside was already white.
I like them because I need all the help I can get when driving and changing directions. Besides the LED Mirror Covers, I also have Muth Mirrors. They have a red arrow on the edge of the mirror.

On second thought as per the picture, it looks like they could have followed the line on the mirror housing with the lens. I suspect that after they made the lens, they discovered that the end of the lens didn't follow the contour of the cover, so they tweeked it a little.
But, I'm not sorry that I got them.
