When the weather is nice I don't mind washing it but when it gets too hot & 100% humidity I'll take it to my local detail shop and have them do a hand wash.

Power washer:

-I bought it to clean the patio around our pool. It's not the highest powered pressure washer but it does the job. For washing cars it's more than adequate. If I had to buy one again I'd go w/ the AR383 since you can roll the hose up.

I guess I'm one of the rare ones. Call it early childhood programming. I've never taken a car through a car wash or had it detailed by someone else. Always hand-washed, waxed, detailed, etc. Neighbors think I'm nuts. Oh well.

I hand wash both my cars every week or every other week--No matter the cold, I have a nice large Aircraft hanger I take them too and can spend all day on them if I want then drive into my heated garage to dry out overnight ---

If I lived in the Northeast I would too. Florida in the summer is a whole different story when the heat index is 134°F+. I love to detail my car like the next person but I'm not having a heat stroke doing it.

LOL it barely gets to 80°F in the summer, that's perfect weather and for the winters you have a hanger & heated garage to work in so it's easy to stay warm. Try staying cool in a garage where it's 110°F+. I have work fans going but they don't help much when they're blowing hot air on you that feels like a heater blasting away.

We have other challenges, weather wise in Seattle. Washing cars in the rain, for one. My Dad used to pay me a bit of allowance to wash his cars in freezing weather. Tricky to wash a car and keep the water from freezing on it

early childhood programming is tough to resist...

RCsGX that was totally uncalled for!

Dashcam pic of the Monday morning rush hour in downtown Laramie.

Looks like I'm stuck here for another day. I-80 is still shut down. Actually, Laramie is not a bad place to get stuck. Nice town!

That dash cam pic reminds me of a small town MAIN ST. Reminds me of where a lot of family lives, Hope, Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas.

No, not for THIS kinda snow. I-80 goes through much higher elevations. Temperatures are low and the wind is high. The Elk Mountain stretch of I-80 is no fun in snow. Right now, they will not let anyone through - even trucks with chains can't go. As soon as I commit to staying here another day, they'll open the road. I know how this works!

Here I am at ~8,800 ft. We only got ~6" in the last 24 hrs and the roads were in good condition, but here's my pic anyhow.

How'd your GX handle the snow yesterday / today?

Mine saw some sunlight yesterday when I ran it for a while. I have two cars and don't like to subject it to road salt since it's my expedition/off road rig and I need stuff to be able to come apart easily if it ever breaks on the trail. I'm moving this spring to Arizona so this is the last winter it'll see.

We had about 2 ft of snow in the DC metro. My GX was unstoppable with those big Yokohamas. She took a mouthful as I busted through the snow wall at the end of my driveway.
