Default Bull Bar on, but me thinks baby needs new shoes

First time to post any picks of my GX. Washed it and installed the Bull Bar. I think it really needs to have some upsized shoes, I'm just struggling with what to get. I like the 4runner LTD wheels, but not sure how the finish will look with the white. Suggestions always welcome...

Thanks,
Bob

4runner LTD wheels would look the best on white IMO, btw that black bull bar looks real good.

Thanks Dan - your truck has the look that really sticks in my head.

BTW - how loud are the BFG's on the road? Mine is a daily driver and I don't want to compromise too much of the on road comfort

Looks good. Yes, bigger wheels are a must to complete your project. I'm about to bite as well.

Fj wheels look good and you can ebay them for a good price.

Here is what they look like on mine. More pics if you go to lower post.

Not sure, tough as the wife must agree with them. So far we only agree the stockers are too small. Need something more aggressive. We have not decided whether we want to go with just 18's with big tires or a nice set of forged 22's.

I'd say go with some 22's. IMO if i was to upgrade mine, i would want to actually notice a difference in size and i don't think an inch would justify it since you'll have to buy new tires and everything.

Besides, what is the lug pattern for our gx?

Thinking about these Granite Alloys from TireRack. However I would have to go with a 285/60/18 tire to get the diameter I want and concerned about rubbing....

6X139.7 but the center bore is much larger then most vehicles. I think its 3 1/2.

IMO the bull bar would look better chrome instead of the black.

Bob that bull bar looks excellent IMO and will come in handy in parking lots for sure. If you haven't already, go look at the '08 "urban runner" edition 4runners, I believe they come in the same white pearl color as the GX and they also come with the Limited's 18" wheels - it will give you a good idea of how your GX will looks with those wheels.

Thanks for the bull bar compliment Greg. It just looks way better in black than chrome on a white truck. I'm even considering removing the skid plate for that reason...

I did see the urban runner in pearl white on Toyota's website. I'm trying to see if I can find one on a lot down here in West Palm Beach to get an in-person look at the combo. I'm leaning more and more towards the 18" Limited wheels. They just seem to look "more appropriate" on the truck than chrome wheels.
