40/45K mile service ???
I was wondering if anyone knows or has a list of what the 40k mile service maintenance program that the Delearship suggest consists of?
I am gonna guess all it consists of is a bunch of checking sensors and loooking at stuff to see what might need to be addressed in the near future. i.e. tires, brakes, hoses, filters etc etc
Anyone know what it consists of exactly?
Thanks
Dan

I did not do a thing to my 4Runner and every time I had it at the dealer they told me everything looks fine, nothing until 60k, the only thing that was actually done was my friend greased the drive shafts at around 20 something and the dealer put new front pads on it at 40k plus it had a frozen passenger side front caliper that need to be replaced.
Be informed and do your research, some Toyota and Lexus dealers charge 500 for a 30k service and they do nothing except basic routine stuff anyone could do in there driveway.
If my friends Tacoma could go 120k before ha changed anything other then the oil and filter then these newer vehicles will do fine with the improved fluids they have in them.
