I tucked those bad boys under the lights and used the factory clamps that were there...a few zip ties on the relays and done! really simple!!

I have upgraded every car I ever owned to HID, and in about every color spectrum. 4300K puts out the brightest, most usable light.
I am a "man of color", so to speak, and I absolutely love to see the varying colors of HID while driving down the highway. The factory white HID have become quite common today, with many companies offering them stock in certain models.
I had (professionally installed and focused by American Auto Tech) both the low beams and fog lights upgraded to HID. However, and although they really light up the road, they don't have as much output as the 4300's. Mine are "16,000K" deep blue. Most "blue" HID I've seen have a turquoise tint. These are deep blue with a purple tint. Of course, I had thought that 12,000K was the highest color temp, purple, so I don't really know what color these really are. But they are beautiful in color and I thoroughly enjoy driving at night. I was actually pulled over by a VA state cop, who asked me where he could get this color for his LS430. I asked him about the legal issues of color and he told me that with HID being so common now, they aren't worried about colors, only unfocused, blinding unprofessional installations, and the kids with the Honda Civic's with ten foot tall rear spoilers. Varies from state to state.
Here is a (poor) photo of the 16,000K HID lows/fogs on my GX. I'll take a better photo on our next sunny day, outside.

Looks good Fred,I may have to do my fog lights too.Speaking of people with crazy colors for Hid's,last night,an oncoming car had stupid pink HID'S.Not only did it look cheap and like crap,it was very glaring to the point that I had to look away as he got closer.

Yes, I have also seen a car in this area with those garrish pink HID!! I too, find it very ugly.
I have seen a white GMC SUV, large and fairly new, customized and it has very nice looking HID lows and fogs, maybe 10,000K blue with purple tint. My Vigor has deep purple lows, the most purple I've seen. Sadly, like most overseas companies, the company disappeared. The HID are very reliable though.
Around here, (DC Metropolitan area) blue is the most predominant custom color, usually 8000K. I have yet to see a blue set like mine, deep blue with purple cast.
What color are your HID? You will LOVE having HID in the fogs too, puts out alot of light on the ground in front of you.

I dont know what the Temp specs are for the ballast and all components, but here in Alaska we have been having some crazy temps for the last 2 weeks. Since I have put my HIDS on I can tell ya that the GX sits outside at work at -15 all day (thats a high temp)and everything works perfect. Usually I put all my cars in the garage at night but 2 nights the GX has sit outside and the temps were -25 on the thermometer when I went to work--again all HIDS are perfect and fire up well.

Fred those do look nice but I would have thought 12K to be way to blue? I would love to see it with my own eyes..lol I think I need some HID FOGS for sure

With regards to the earlier posts about McCulloch kits being so great... rubbish.

Check out the headache this McCulloch dealer went through and is now putting his customers through... lol.
