Default Availability & Pricing of 2008 GX 470?

Does anyone know when the 2008 will be available for purchase?
Hoping to buy one but the local dealers all give me different stories. They all claim to not have any pricing yet and that the cars wont be on the lot until October or November.

Thanks.

I think the price of the 08 went up a little bit, but the price of the forced option, 3rd row seat, went down by a thousand dollars. If you consider that, then the 08 are actually a few hundred dollars cheaper than the 07.
Usually the new year model of the Lexus truck line comes out around late Oct.

I was thinking the same thing. Unless the dealers start adding a premium for the 2008 models then the list price should be pretty similar. I've shown local dealers the pricing on the Lexus website but they all claim they havent received the actual pricing from Lexus. Whatever that means!!

Right now i'm seeing $3k to $4k discounts off MSRP for a 2007 model in the New York tri-state area. Since I'm in no immediate rush for the car I dont mind waiting a month or so for a 2008. Plus I get the depreciation of the 2008 and not a 2007.

I had a few friends who live in NY and Conn. who actually came up to the MA area to buy their Lexus. The GX is going for around invoice here now. I would imagine it will be the same for the 08 since there is very little change. I just dont see the 08 selling for a premium.

Lexus of Watertown is pretty good when it comes to pricing.

I just went through the buying process here in MA and paid for my truck today. I priced the vehicle a lot of ways by going through the various websites and dealerships.

I got an excellent price from Lexus of Watertown. However, to get this great pricing without a lot of back and forth negotiation, I went through their internet selling site. I found them by going to various sites, like edmunds and motor trend, and asked for a dealer quote. This gets directed to the internet selling department of these dealerships based on the zip code you put in. So make sure you put in a zip code for Watertown or Boston MA. After confirming the price I wanted and getting the okay, when I showed up at the dealer they assigned me to one of the sales reps who took em through the process. I ended up with approx. $7K off of MSRP on a 2007 GX-470. MSRP is $56,500 and sales price was below $50,000.

They had 3 with NAV and upgraded stereo and 3 with all of that plus rear entertainment.

I was going to wait too but was told there is no way I would get the same pricing on a 2008 model. Of course, YMMV but it's worth a shot.

Steve
