Xenon Depot - 4300K Xtreme HID - Install w/Pics (no 56k)
Picked up one of the XD Xtreme HID 4300k H11 kits from Steve about a month ago. Finally had a chance to take it to my installer last week. Awesome improvement compared to the OEM halogens! The build quality was top notch. I noticed that the wire harness was well protected and the connectors fit tightly. The ballast also seemed well sealed and rugged and will hopefully last a long time. The beam pattern on the GX is well suited for HID conversion as it stays just a tad below the trunkline of the car in front... no one has high beamed me yet 
I was with the installer taking pics the entire time. After watching I definitely could've done the install myself... I got Vaistech and DVD bypass at the same time so I figured I'd have them do the HID install too.
Now for the Pics...
1) 4300K Yippeee. Now it's time to switch out the H3 fogs with something closer to HID color temp

4) Passenger Side - Relay and Ballast installed horizontally on shelf. I was initially a bit weary the horizontal mount due to the risk of rain seeping in a settling on the shelf, however it seems like the plastic rain guard should more than protect it. There are also a bunch of stock electrical components in the area so it should be ok.

7) One Challenge - When we first wired everything up the lights didn't fire up. A few minutes of troubleshooting determined that the green plastic isolator for H11 to Harness connector wasn't cut wide enough for the metal contacts to push through. Simply pop out the green plastic isolator and push it back in while ensuring that the contacts poke through

i have an aftermarket 6000k hid kit that i bought off of ebay. I was such an idiot because the seller told me that they where philips. I believe his theory because it seem true. Since the philips ballast aren't water resistant, he told me that he put a shell on them to protect it from water and then he printed a label and attached them to the ballast to prove that they are philips. Anyhow, i was tricked but that was months later when i thought about it and found out that they weren't philips. I don't know why i just typed that.
But anyhow, so i have 6000k and when i first bought them, they were pretty nice. white with a hint of blue. well more blue. Now since i've had them for about 2 years, they're very blue. I'm thinking about buying real philips this time 4300k. When you first installed yours, were they really white with a hint of blue or can you discribe the color? i don't wanna go by your pictures because camera don't catch the real color. And plus i've notice that it takes some time for the 4300k to burn in to achieve the true white that it truly is. Also, what about your cut off point. my seems like it was too low? i do live in the country.

I believe the cut-off point will be the same regardless of what kit you use provided that the rebased bulb was done properly. As for color I would say that the xtreme 4300k kit (which is not philips btw) has a very white color with only a slight blue due to the fact that light is getting put through the oem projector lens. Take a look at a RX350 with OEM HID and the light is almost exactly that. I have not noticed a change in color so far.

. Did you find a fog lamp to match or closely match the xenon yet? Do you need to get separate kit from XenonDepot for the fog lights? Have you ever been high beamed yet? Just to test if 4300K is too bright. Cops in our area I heard, do stop the ones that are too bright
