Navigator, Voice Commands
We have the GX470 2007. The Voice commands don't seem to work all the time. When using the voice commands to dial a number, it adds zeros to the number. Most of the time we have to use the cell phone to enter the numbers because of that.
Service looked at the Nav and told me that I need to have no noise when activating the voice commands. Roll up windows, turn off stereo & A/C, no whispering....etc.
Any one experienced this issue?

Hmm, in my experience voice commands of numbers are easier than letters or words (in voice recognition Tablet PCs for instance). I haven't tried voice dial though, but it gets the A/C temp right most of the time.
I'd suggest speaking slowly and clearly, with minimal background noise.

My wife and I both have Sprint cellular service and use their Voice Command service at a cost of $5 a month. All numbers can be entered over the internet -- I have 150 different people with well over 300 numbers. Our cars are set up on speed dial to access Sprint Voice Command directly so, when we do, all we here is a "bong" sound after which we say the persons name and whether it's there home, office or cellphone number. The combination of the Lexus system and Voice Command works great. And, it even works when the phone is not in the car since the service is from Sprint. And, when I changed cars from my BMW to my Lexus, nothing had to be done because all of my phone numbers were stored at Sprint.
Now, why do we use Sprint? We live close to their world headquarters (at least to the Kansas City one) and want to support a local company that employs a lot of people from this area.
