I went from an 04 GX to a Minivan and back to an 07 GX within 8 months . However, one feature I really miss is the rollup window shades for the rear windows. Does anyone have any recommendations for window shades for the rear windows? I just can't bring myself to get the Babies R Us variety. I am also thinking about getting the windows tinted but don't know if that is enough to keep the sun out of the kids eyes. Help?!?

The rear window on the GX is already tinted.

Yeah I got that but it isn't enough to do any significant filtering of the sunlight. Audis have a sunshade in the side doors and the rear to help minimize sunlight. Has anyone tinted their windows more than the factory tint?

I have seen GX's that have tinted the back more and also tinted the fronts to match. Too dark for my tastes.

I too would be interested in shades for 2nd row windows that are nicer and fit the window completely. We are currently using:

Kind of cheesy but they work ok. Not wide enough to cover the entire width though.

BTW, does anyone know what percent (of light letting through) aftermarket tint for the front windows will closely match the rears? Is it 25%?

My GX has a medium tint on the front driver and passenger windows. The rest of the side and back windows are tinted dark. Standing outside the rear of the truck, depending on where the sun is, it's very difficult to see inside.

I've not done it to mine but I've had very dark tinted windows in the past (I put limo (5% light transmission) over factory dark tint in a pickup truck cab). They work but I got annoyed with how hard it was to see out at night. Safety concern here.

Also, on my GX, I had the tint shop match my front sides to the factory tint and I think he said it was 28%. It looks pretty close.
