Hello Coastaldave;
i have 05 GX470 w/ factory nav and rear seat dvd player.
Your web site recommend the Ultimate lockpick Ver. 1 for factory nav and rear seat dvd.
Do i have the option to add after market headrest monitors?
thank you

I am currently having the same issue with the Ipod adapter from VAIS Technology..........Had worked great for almost a year, but now the navigation is nuts. I have had everything replaced new from Lexus, but same problem. I think I am going to remove it and see what happens.

to program it you go into the simple mode by pressing Scan 8 times quickly. the screen will show Ipod Interface or Simple Mode. then press and hold Disc Repeat until you hear a long beep. that will activate the I Agree bypass. you can test it by hitting MAP and waiting 5 sec to watch it go away. if it does not go away, then most likely you do not have the I Agree bypass, in which case you need to contact Vais for a firmware upgrade (aka send the unit back to them and they will update it).

Installation
Yesterday I received the Lockpick for my '06 GX470. The installation instructions were for a Prius. It described popping out the dash center speaker to provide access to the harness behind the screen. It went on to describing pulling the radio if no dash center speaker.
Once access is gained, it looks like a very simple process to find the right harness and insert the Lockpick.
Does this installation also work for the GX470? Does the dash center speaker just pop out with a little pressure?

New Vendor
The lockpick series, released last week, is compatible with the Lexus.
We have released a really great product for Lexus owners and have updated our website with increased functionality for our customers, a secure shopping cart, and an application guide. The Coastal Lockpick unlocks navigation, bluetooth, ipod, video and audio and more.
Its a great unit! It is at http://www.coastaletech.com/LOCKPICK_MAIN.htm
Thanks so much!

I've written a very detailed install manual. Let me know if you need it.
