Sounds like she needs a piggy bank...

Maybe someone on here knows how to take the DVD player apart to get the change out.

Don't give her money

Don't let her ride in the GX

Tie her hands together

Default Suggest removing the unit and taking the cover off (m)

Probably pretty easy, Check the TIS website for removal tips, etc if needed. See here: http://www.techinfo.toyota.com/
Usually its just a few screws, etc and out it pops. I've got daughters as well and recommend duct tape in the future. How old is she?

Duct tape on the player or to bind her hands together?

If you can use a flashlight to see them, try a popsicle stick wrapped in tape to stick to them and pull them out.

If you're in a major metro area, there are stereo repair shops that specialize in this kind iof thing, probably for around ~$100 - call around. I don't know who makes the DVD player for Lexus, probably like a pioneer or other brand.

BTW - it's going to be much cheaper to fix it now before anything breaks, than have to repair or replace it later.

Default What about an autmotive "parts retrieving" tool?

They are about 2' long, about as thick as a pencil and have a small magnetic tip on the end. Might not fit though the slot, though.
I'd just take it out, unscrew the cover and be done with it. How hard can it be?

Depends on the coins... may not be magnetic. In fact, are any US coins magnetic?

Is that what they call pay per view?

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Rim shot! Couldn't you just remove it and turn it upside down to see if they slide out?
