Has anyhone ever tried to do this?? How easy/hard was it?

I've watched Francisco @ Aerotech do 2 of my cars. I think it's like tint on your windows, there is an art to doing it. I really don't think it's as easy as it "looks" If it was, those places wouldn't be in business.......

I have the film on my car, but what's the best way to clean it? I don't want to damage it.

Treat it the same as the finish on your car, wash with same wash, wax or treat with same treatment.

Two things to watch (related):

If using high pressure wash (either at a do it yourself carwash or if you have a powered pressure sprayer at home) do not spray at an angle directly at the edges (you may start to lift/peel it up)

When washing with mitt/sponge, do strokes from film to paint, never the reverse (same thing, you don't want to start peeling it up).

Also, if you use a wax, afterward, you may want to run a Q-tip along the edge to get the dried wax.

I would not recommend you try it yourself! It is a PITA. The "flat" surfaces are fairly easy to do, but forget about the curved ones as you will have to stretch the film a bit, etc. It is a PITA and you will have to toss the film if you screw up....and there aint to refunds for *****- ups!

I used to do vinyl sings and decals professionally and although this is basically the same, it is a PITA nonetheless as you must be pretty damn perfect as the film is clear and not super stetchy also. Just pay to have it done right...its worth it.
