My wife took my GX to work the other day and parked in the garage under a leaking pipe. Now I have a hard water stain on the front windshield that will not go away. I scraped the white residue off, but you can still see the outline of the stain. Help! How can I remove it without removing the waterproof coating on the glass?

I've experienced that problem and using glass wax (or even car wax) took care of it.

Get some Meguiars Cleaner Wax, should come right off

50/50 misture of vinegar and water - works like magic - an old boating trick.

Thanks for the replies , I will try out the vinegar/water solution this weekend. I hope it does not take off the waterproof coating on the glass!
