I have tried it with my 05 and I can't reprogram it either. Frustrating! Any suggestions? I know Lexus can program it for me, but now it has become a challenge.

I set mine to LOCK when shifting from park and UNLOCK when shifting into park. So far I love this setting.

I've seen mentioned that XM Radio is coming out with something like that.

That you can auto start your GX by turning and quickly releasing the key...
The sunroof air deflector automatically adjusts to cut down wind noise around 50 mph...
The truck beeps at you when you do something stupid and it tries to correct...

Other personal options?
I am about to take my new GX 470 in to the dealer for the personal settings adjustment.
Does anyone know on the personal settings can you set the alarm remote to where it also besides light flashing set off a quick toot of the horn?
I used to love this function on my old Jeep Cherokee because when I came out of a store/mall/concert and could not find my car, but knew I was in the vicinity I could just hit the remote and listen for my horn to toot. Then I could always find my car quicker.
Plus with this this horn feature, if you accidently hit the button on your remote you know it because you hear the horn toot as you are walking away from your vehicle.
Also any ideas on this problem.
I like the fact that the doors lock automaticlly if you forget to lock them when you are out in public like at a mall, but I hate that the doors lock in your own garage after a certain time. I dont want to have to use my remote every time I run out to my garage at my house......but yet I like the auto timed lock to happen if I forget when I am at the mall.
Also are there any other personalized settings besides doors/locks that I should be thinking about before I take it in to the dealer?
Thanks Guys!

First, when you lock or unlock on your remote, it should beep with the lights flashing (not a horn toot ) and I think you can have the loudness set at the dealer.
Second, when you hit unlock AND don't open any doors within I think 30 seconds, the doors automatically lock. I don't think it locks itself when you get out of the car though
And you can have the all door locks unlock when pushing it once or twice set at the dealer.
Standard: one time for the driver, 2 times for all other doors. Option one time for all doors. They said that it was a safety feature b/c you don't want to unlock all doors if you ever need to just jump in the driver seat without having an intruder open your other doors.

Thanks for the advice.
I will have them up the volume of the beep.
For some reason mine is locking after a certain time period.
Like if I get out of my car in my garage at home and return to my car in an hour....... all the doors will be locked.
It must be on some timer as a safety measure?
