I just realized that, as to the LX, the XM radio is offered as a DEALER option. That might explain why it isn't listed in the press release?

I have seen "XM Radio Availability" in some of the previous LX, LS & ES press releases though.... I'm still hoping it will be available for the 2005 GX.

The only way to be sure is if the AM button on the radio says AM-SAT.

Dealer Option just means they install an aftermarket radio. Anyone can do that. Bring it to Circuit City.

This is a good point, just go to your local electronics store to have it installed as an aftermarket item. XM is worth it, since it would sound great piped through the ML AUDIO system!

XM Radio should eventually be standard on all vehicles in the future!

No! Sirius should. They have exclusives on the NFL Sunday ticket, NBA League Pass, NHL Center Ice, and most importantly the Howard Stern show!

I keep seeing GX's on the road more often. Maybe it's because I am in the market for one, so I am noticing them more.

The GX in motion looks sweet. The Exterior has really grown on me over these past months and even the rear of the GX with that swing out door is looking nicer and nicer (I have always like the front of the GX).

So whether it's a 2004 or 2005, since the look is pretty much the same in 2005, this SUV is the best choice in the low $50K range.

Unhappy No air flow from front defroster vent

Sorry I am new at this today ( newest member) so I am quite lost on how and where to post, but I need help.

My 2008 Lexus GX470's windshield defroster is not blowing any air. All the other vents work fine. When I select defroster and feet it shows on the screen but I don't get any air flow to the windshield that is fogging a lot (we had a 2F start morning here in Minnesota). When I select only defroster no air comes from it instead goes to the other front vents.

Another queue is that now I hear a whistle or high pitch noise as I turn the vent to mid or high speed. Very annoying. Is like air is being blocked by something.

I want to bring this to my great mechanic with some clues on where to start.

Thank you and if this was the wrong place to place my question please tell me how to do it.

Regards

sounds like the servo motor that controls the dampers that direct air is not working. common problem.

Thank you Alan553 I wonder if the dash panel needs to be removed to get at that servo motor.
