Thanks for your comment. I am not disappointed because they are using same engine but they have same horsepower and torque. As GX470 is more luxurious and have more options than 4Runner the same way it should have more horsepower and torque. Lexus always use to have more horsepower than Toyota siblings. Even Lincoln Aviator has climate controlled seats. Next generation GS is going to have Climate control seats.

I hope the voice-activated climate works better than the other voice-activated commands. I think it's neat, don't get me wrong, but for a lot of these things, I can hit the up arrow on the temp just as fast as I can say "temperature up".

Lex,
It came in the mail just like the quarterly Lexus magazines do. Actually, I thought it was the quarterly magazine until I opened the envelope.
It only has the one page on the GX (only 1 page for each model) with a picture of a blue GX (looks just like the existing one and the details I gave you. That's it.

I wonder if the voice activated climate controls works in such a way that it serves chilled drinks if you are feeling to hot in the car.

I threw my book out...
Lexusguy - Although the 2005 book was well done (as always), it had VERY little (i.e. no new news) on the upcoming models. It may have been news to those not on these boards but for us, it didn't offer any new info. I did save the article on the Hybrid RX but even it didn't have a MSRP on it... I threw the rest away.

Thanks for your update. The latest info just confirms Long Lexus interno Memo about the 2005 changes and it's nothing new to those of us closely monitoring these changes (we still can't see any sport package photos), but it's just nice added confirmation in writing that something will be change and a sports package is on the way.

2005 GX CANADIAN pricing released
Any indication on what the price increase might be for the 2005 GX over the 2004? Thanks.
Just got word on the Canadian pricing:
Premium Package $67,700.00*
Ultra Premium Package $74,000*
* plus freight, pdi, taxes etc.
Price increase of $900.00 CDN over the 2004 prices. Better than I previously posted.

US Price
Just spoke to my dealer (Difeo, NJ) and these are the MSRP he quoted for the 3 builds they are planning to sell:
Base (no Nav/ML) - $48312
w/Nav/ML/3rd row - $ $51362
above w/RSE - $52922
Sport - $54622
Now - what are people expecting in terms of discounting. I am planning on the NAV/ML/RSE (list $52922) = how much should I pay?
Taking delivery late Dec....my current GX (2002) already has over 50,000mi!
