I'd like to provide some feedback on the Xtreme Kit 5000k I just bought from XD. First, I had to uninstall my rather old Morimoto HID kit. This kit was about 6 years old, and just didn't produce the brightness I remembered it once did. The Xtreme Kit was very well packaged, and all components were top notched. This time I chose to power the new kit directly from the OEM wiring harness. I did not use the wiring relay. The installation was very straight forward. I used the 3M double sided tape to secure the ballasts to the sides of the engine bay. All wiring were zip-tied and tucked away for a clean look. I'm only posting 2 pics of the installed locations. There are numerous threads out there already with step by step instructions.

So this morning was my first opportunity to drive the GX. WOW, what a difference! With the lights on, the brightness reflecting back from the garage door was much more than I remembered with the old lights. I felt like putting on my sunglasses at 5:45 in the morning Lol! Driving down our dark street, the increased lumen was very obvious. The cut-off was decent, not razor sharp like I'd like but I guess you cant expect that from the non HID projectors.

Overall, I'm very happy with the Xtreme Kit! Thanks Steve and Booyah!

Installing this kit today. I bought the Can Bus adapter thing... I wonder if that was even necessary. I looked around and didnt see a definitive answer, so figured rather would be safe than sorry. Anyone know if its necessary for an 04?

Hi,

You do not need to use the canbus component on the GX when installing a XenonDepot HID Kit.
