@roemer7 - Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the XenonDepot H11 HID kit.

@teejnut - You can't plug the ballast directly into the OEM wiring. You need to use the black/white wires that run through the grommet to convert from 9006 (ballast) to H11(Oe wiring).

Ahh Thought I didn't need that wiring since I wasn't using the relay. Make sense now, will give that a try.

Steve- I have a 35w kit installed on the low beam with the optional harness. The light output is not as bright as I'd hope. Will the wiring and housing handle a 55w kit? Thanks

Hi,

I would not recommend going with a 55w kit. Vendors that sell 55W kits typically mate 50W ballasts with 35W bulbs. This may make the bulbs burn a little brighter, but it also means that the bulbs burn hotter and will burn out prematurely. No OEM HID application uses 55W - only 35W.

What color temperature HID kit do you currently have installed?

Yea what did you go with color wise (4300/5000/6500) I have found that any of those are super bright, Im not sure what you are after but you cannot get much brighter than their kit???

Hi Steve and Booyah- thanks for the responses. I currently have 4300K. They just don't seem as bright installed on the GX as they were on our Sienna several years ago. Perhaps the projectors on the GX are the culprit, or it's a good possibility that my kit is just old and I need to update this 6 year old kit. No other issues otherwise.

Your kit should be fine, when I first installed my HID I got the 4300K as well and did not like their output either, so I contacted steve and I bought a set of the 5000K--much better output to my eyes, nice and white and very bright. I would say grab you a pair of the 5K from steve and see what you think. Plus I have a 5K kit in my fog-lights too and omg what a huge difference that makes

@NTH - Bulbs do lose lumens over time, so I would not be surprised if the bulbs are not as bright as they used to be. Let me know if you want to get some new bulbs, and I will do my best to help you out.

@Booyah - Thanks for the feedback!!

Ok. Should I consider replacing the entire kit? I don't have any issues with the ballasts? Please send me a quote for new bulbs 5000k . Thank you!

@NTH - I just noticed your signature; do you have one of our HID kits installed? It's not a problem, just making sure I understand everything before making a suggestion...
