Post Front Lower Ball Joints

So I've been looking around to replace my front lower ball joints. Seems to me that the ball joints themselves are not available from Lexus/Toyota, only available as the entire lower control arm assembly. Is this accurate? Is there an OEM ball joint option? Dealer also told me that they only have assemblies, not ball joints themselves.

Comments?

They are available from Lexus as a complete LCA assembly only. If your LBJ is worn, odds are that your bushings are as well. Once you price all the parts and labor to rebuild your LCA's, replacement doesn't sounds so outlandish.

Don't think the ball joint was ever available from Toyota as a separate part. Toyota sells a boot kit in case the joint is good but the boot is torn/damaged. Take a look.

If you need ball joints can't say which aftermarket ones are good I have not had good experience with any of them. I have Moog's in one of the cars they are rusting really bad to the point where I'm afraid they will sheer off.

Yea, I've already started looking into the LCA assembly purchase.

Thanks for the feedback.

If you plan on keeping the vehicle long term, go OEM on the LCA's. The bushings in the aftermarket LCA's don't hold up nearly as well as OEM it seems.

Yes, that's the plan. Will do.
