Default Kash and Dave

There is also a break in period with any HID light bulb. Initially for the first 50 hours or so the color will be intense then as the gases start to break in the color becomes more white and slight yellow. That is why if you buy 4300k the bulbs will be yellow white at first then yellow. 5000k will be blue white then whitesh yellow. 6000k bulbs will be blue white then pure white. Anything above 6000k will be more blue purple and white with a major loss in lumen output after break in they still stay blue purple.

If you look at Cyber's pic of the hids that is a very accurate color portrait of the 6000k lights.

Tony... my 00' Acura TL's OEM HID was now getting a bit less white and tend to be yellow when I sold it.

Could that explain all your saying?? Hopefully, I didn't get the 4300k for my GX.

Kash, if he doesn't contact me around 12th April, I will call and e-mail them.

If everything is on schedule, we should be able to get our HID Kit in one week. Ah 7 days and counting...

Yeah that is why if you start looking at cars with HIDS most of them have 4300k HIDS and they tend to look white with a yellow center if the car is older it will almost look Halogen but brighter. Trust me you guys will really like the 6000k color.

Default hey koreanpers,

I saw people putting 6000k on GS, that looks even better with yellow foglight.

I'm thinking to put the PIAA Ion bulb on my GX.

Does your GS has yellow bulb foglight??

Could you show me somehow?

I even leave my headlights on during the day time! On a busy freeway I feel like Moses parting the Red Sea because everyone in front of me sees this big black SUV with bright xenons! If you want a head turning addition to your car, this is it. If you live in Southern California, hit me up with a pvt message so I can give you the number to my mechanic who installed this kit very cleanly.

I see a slight problem with the beam pattern. Notice the areas I marked? Toyota/Lexus adds a slot into halogen projector shields to purposely increase glare,to illuminate overhead road signs. I've seen similar "UFO's" in new Celicas and LX470s. The owner of the LX470 actually glued in small covers to cover those notches.
Other than that the results are quite good. I'm impressed by the colorful cutoff too in that on-road photo, quite OEM HID.

Those two yellow squares you marked on your pic are the daytime driving lights or signal lights in the front portion of the GX they are not coming from the projector housings from either the low or high beams. If you park your truck in the same maner and then cover the daylight driving lights/signal lights the squares disappear.

Default H11 Xenon Kit and DRL

For those that have installed the H11 lowbeam Xenon kit from Xenondepot, how do the Xenon's work with Daytime Running Lights???
Also, I read on the Proxenon website that they do not recommend using Xenon's with the Automatic lights feature (due to insufficient voltage to turn on the ballasts as the car is started)?

The same as if you were to turn it on manually when darkness fall. During the day, only the orange yellow light from signals are on. When night fall, H11 HID kit automatic turn on if you set it to auto. Otherwise turn it on manually and you have a killer 6000K HID. Noted what Tony have said, the day time running light will be off if low beam is on.

Default Thanks Fusion400

Thanks for the info. Fusion400, I'm waiting for the 05 GX (270HP and better gas mileage, hopefully the Sport Option will have larger rims as well). So if the 05 doesn't have HID's I'll be calling up Steve for the H11 6000K HID kit!

Other than having to re-program the power windows and Sunroof when the battery is removed for installation, is there anything else that requires re-programming? What about the memory settings for the trip computer, radio, or the memory power seat/power tilt steering???
