Default Remote doesn't work properly

Hello,

today recognized remote door opener doesn't work properly. Can't open/lock car from some meters distance, but works if I'm very close to the car. Voltage of battery is 3.1 volts, red light is visible when buttens are pressed.

Any idea?

Regards

Replace battery. How long has it been? Your symptoms suggest this simple and affordable effort.

Yea I would replace the remote coin battery. Its the cheapest and easiest before you get deeper.

Well, francis, the process of elimination tells me that it's unlikely both remotes are bad at the same time. Time to get the car diagnosed by a mechanic. Toyota would likely be less costly than Lexus.
Let us know what they say.
